Sunday Funday
We took Molly to the MN Zoo today. A serious case of cabin fever has hit the Reynolds' household so we decided to go out and do something fun! Molly loves the zoo and has since she was a baby. We have had a membership there since she was one. She hadn't been to the zoo since last summer, so she was very excited to see all the animals. She insisted we bring Lucy, her doll, to the zoo with us as well, because of course "Lucy has never seen a zoo before, she would be very sad if she didn't come." So we brought Lucy so she could enjoy the day as well. We didn't see the outside exhibits, but we did hit up all the ones indoors. Molly would squeal "Oh my gosh, I can't believe it" to every animal she saw. She also thanked us MULTIPLE times for bringing her to the zoo, such a polite little girl. We even took Molly to her first IMAX Theater experience and watched "Into the Deep Sea" in 3D. We had such a good time. When we were leaving and getting her into her car seat she grabbed my neck and gave me a hug as she whispered in my ear "My wish just came true mama...I wanted to go to the zoo today and you and Daddy made my wish true." Anytime Molly.....anytime.

Dance time and cousin bonding
Molly is taking Ballet and Tap this year at Jan's School of Dance here in Hastings. They have begun learning their routine for their Spring Recital. They are dancing to a medley of "Hey Hey We're the Monkey's" and "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed." Their costumes are of course Monkeys....too cute for words! She absolutely loves it and gets so excited on Wednesday nights, which is when she has class....as you can see from the photo below.

On Friday night we drove down to Rochester so see Uncle Dan, Auntie Becky and Callie at my parent's house. Callie and Molly are about 2 years apart and are absolutely hilarious together now. They love to play with each other, tickle each other, and occasionally argue over toys together. This visit they were more interactive with each other and had a blast playing on the air mattress tickling each other and wrestling. These two are definitely going to be best friends and cause a lot of trouble together as they grow up!

Spring Break with a 3 year old...
Molly has a HUGE interest in Disney....she loves everything about it-the characters, the movies, the TV shows, everything! We have talked about taking her to Disney World or on the Disney Cruise. That talking all stopped the day she turned 3 1/2. She is a strong willed little girl that always wants to be doing something, be in charge of that something, and make ALL the decisions. That being said, we couldn't really justify spending that kind of money on a trip where we wouldn't be able to know what kind of mood she would be in or how she would behave. That being said, we still wanted her to have a fun "Spring Break" experience. Enter Nickelodeon Universe. The same interest in Disney is comparable to her interest in Nick Jr. Dora, Spongebob, Diego, Wonder Pets...she loves them all. So we took her to Mall of America and let her experience the rides and games of Nick Universe. She had a BLAST! She was even tall enough to ride some of the rides all by herself...much to my own heartbreak and realization that my "baby" girl is growing up too fast....

Website....Take Two!
So I started a little website when Molly was born and kept it for a little less than 2 years. The site closed down, we got busy, yada yada yada, and I never got one back up an running. With everything that has happened this past year and realizing how important it is to keep in touch with family and friends, I have decided to start one back up! I don't know how many people with follow it, read it, or comment, but this is our way of making sure we are documenting the fun and the not so fun things in our life and sharing them with loved ones.
2010 was quite the year for us....I am definitely ready for the year to be over. I know you are probably thinking...it's 2011 Nicky, 2010 is over. And that may be true, but since Keith and I are both teachers, our "year" doesn't follow the calendar year, it follows the school year (those of you who are teachers can relate). Our year starts in September and ends in June. And come June I will be celebrating that we survived. In October I suffered a stroke and it took up until March 10th for me to get the "all clear" from my doctor and neurologist that I no longer had to be on any blood thinners, surgery was NOT going to happen, and that I no longer had any life restrictions (other than skiing). It was a long 5 months, but we made it, we're here, healthy and most importantly happy!
So this blog is the start of our "new" life and our new motto: here, healthy, and happy! We hope you enjoy keeping up with our little life, it may be boring at times, crazy at times, but it is our life and we wouldn't change it for the world.
